I will be baking a 3 layered green cake, with a hole in it and in that hole there will be some objects and at the bottom the small door and the table with the objects. I have planned almost everything out. The main issue is that I would be forced to do it with my dad who isn't good at cooking because everybody else is in Gatineau this weekend. I am looking forward to CAKE DAY on may 3rd.
I will be making a white cake since it resembles the features of the white rabbit. I will put some objects like his mini watch that tells you a sign that he's late for the meeting. I will probably make the white rabbit and the objects out of fondant and cover the cake with fondant. I am not really looking forward for it since the due date seems way to early. But I am looking forward to eat the cake.
Me and my partner will be making a layered cake with pink and purple frosting in between and we’re going to cover the cake with the different colours of the cheshire cat too. For the face, we’re going to make most of it with frosting and the rest with chocolate. We’re also going to use glitter sprinkles to decorate it. We’ve finished most of the planning already. I think the only problem we’ll have is creating the face because that’ll probably be really hard to do. I’m really looking forward to the cake day because it’ll be really fun to see and taste the different cakes!
Me and Daniel are going to try to make a white chocolate cake so we can easily see Bill the Lizard. We will use whip cream for the lizard and for the white chocolate we will melt it and glaze the cake with it. Two problems we will need to overcome is without eggs(we are probably going to use eggs) and making the green lizard. I am soooooo exited to gain five pounds of cake.
Catherine and I will be baking a garden cake. We have all of our planning done including when we are going to make the Cake. We are going to buy the ingredients and bake the cake next Tuesday. Our cake is going to be a chocolate cake since it looks like dirt. We will also have handmade fondant and a Rice Krispies mushroom on top since Rice Krispies look like seeds so they will represent the seeds in the mushroom. I think we will have to over come the handmade fondant since it looks challenging. I am SUPER exited for cake day!!!
For the Cake project, I will be making my cake look like the tea party that the Mad Hatter hosted. I'm going to do Lemon Tea cake. Lemon tea was chosen because since it's a tea party and Lemon is a flavor of tea that is pretty popular, I found that Lemon Tea would be a perfect flavor! Now I probably know what you're thinking: If I chose Lemon Tea as my flavor, why can't I just do a Lemon Cake? Well, when you make lemon tea, the water that you are supposed to add is going to add a concentrated taste to it. I would do that because all the other flavors that I will add will make it the perfect amount of sweetness. The frosting in between the layers will be a simple Italian buttercream frosting. The fondant will be handmade, and so will the decorations. The hardest thing that I will need to tackle will be the tiny decorations that I will need to make.
To recreate the aesthetic of Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum, I'll be baking a red velvet cake with yellow fondant on top. I chose these colors because the main colors they were (according to google) are yellow and red! I'm not sure if I'm doing this yet but I might make a garden/forest made out of frosting a different colored Twizzlers to represent were Alice meets the two boys. Finally, I'll be making little figures made out of Rice Krispies and fondant to make the two boys. Hopefully my cake doesn't break, ruin or someone from my family eats it... I'M SO EXCITED!
Our theme for this cake project is Mad Hatter. Kyla and I will be baking a cake in a shape of a hat, for the Mad Hatter’s hat. I think it will be hard to use the sugar paste, but we’ll manage. We already have everything planned out for the cake. I am really happy you have assigned us this project. I can’t wait to eat all these cakes!
My cake project will be the Cheshire Cat. I’m working with Joyanne, and what we’ve planned so far is that the cake will be cut into three layers, and we’re going to put icing in each of them. Then, for the outside of the cake, we’re going to put pink and purple icing stripes (decorated with edible glitter) to represent the stripes on the Cheshire Cat. We will be making his face out of chocolate and icing. I think a problem we are going to overcome is making the Cheshire Cat’s face, because we’re not amazing artists, but i’m sure we’ll have fun!
For my cake project, my theme is the croquet match. I am not quite sure of the flavour yet, but I want it to be pink. It is going to be a two layer cake with icing in between. For the decorations, I am going to put green frosting all over for the grass and with fondant, I am going to do all the little figurines. One problem that might occur during the process is the details of the characters.
The cake that I am creating is a but of everything in the story but I want to mainly focuse on Alice who goes down the rabbit hole. I will accomplish this by having a two story cake, the top level will be the normal world and the bottom part will have all sorts of other edible decorations. I will make this cake with my moms friend who bakes lots of cake, with this assistance I will be able to make a wonderful cake.
Me and Noah Jon are making a bill the lizard cake.We are planning to make it with white chocolate so that the lizard stands out more. We will melt the white chocolate and put a layer of it on the cake. Some problems we will need to overcome is how to design the lizard and making it without eggs. I am excited to get fat on this day.
I will be making a cake of the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland. I will be making it by starting off with a cake in a bumpy mild to make it resemble a mushroom. Then I will be covering it with white fondant to make it look like the mushroom from the book. Then I will use blue cake pops to make the caterpillar. I am still trying to find out how to make the bong that he is smoking but I will find out soon, thanks for reading. Thanks!
For the cake project, Ella and I will be doing the White Rabbit. We plan on making the cake two layers. The first layer would be a chocolate or a red velvet cake. The second layer would be vanilla and chocolate checkers. We plan on making the icing white and red/blue stripes. On top, we would like to put the White Rabbit himself sitting on top of the cake. Around the cake, we want to put things like his pocket-watch and a deck of red-cards. Some problems we need to overcome is time management, making sure the cake doesn't brake when we make it checkered, the egg allergy and getting it to school safely.
I plan to do a cake that looks like a lobster since I am doing it based on the chapter "Lobster Quadrille". I want to try top find a lobster mold for the cake, if not then I'll have to do it from scratch. I also want to add a top hat and put some music notes around it, or if I can find music note sprinkles that would be fantastic! And if not those to options I want to try like putting music notes an a piece of fondant and making a song sheet.
My cake, which will be made with the help of my mom, will be a 1 (or 2) layered cake featuring the deck of cards. To make the cake I will be using various colours of fondant, icing, and buttercream. I will be making edible cards and their different shapes (heart, spade, diamond and club) to decorate my cake. We do not do much baking at home, since my mom has celiac disease and she cannot have any cross contamination with any flour/wheat. This is probably one of the most difficult things with this project because since gluten free desserts don’t really taste that great, I will still be using flour to bake this cake but I will have to be very careful in cleaning up. I will also need to borrow pans, a mixer, bowls, etc. because we cannot put flour in ours. I have spent a lot of time researching the difference between fondant, gum paste and icing and watching videos on how to apply fondant on a cake and how to make buttercream from scratch. Unfortunately, the silicone mold to make the edible cards is not sold in Canada, only in the US, so I will need to make them by hand. The other problem I have encountered is cost. I have already begun to shop for the material, like the special rolling pin necessary to roll fondant and the smoother to place it on the cake, the cookie cutters for the various shapes, the edible markers and glue, etc. and the ingredients to make everything required for the fondant, the buttercream, the cake, etc. and it has gotten very expensive. Lastly, in order to complete this baking project, time management is critical. I cannot leave everything until the last moment because the cakes will need to cool with the buttercream before I can put the fondant on and the shapes and cards will need to be done ahead of time in order to set before putting them on the cake. Even though it is a lot of work, I think it will end up being a lot of fun, especially the part where we get to try the cakes. I just hope everything turns out and everything tastes good since it is the first time I am using all these ingredients. #aliceinwonderland
I am SOOOOO excited for this thursday, May 3rd which in my agenda is the cake project. As a matter of a fact my cake will have 3 tiers each containing 3 layers in each. Meaning nine layers in total. The theme of my cake is the Queen of Hearts which means that the main colors are red, white and black with a bit of gold for the crown.

DeleteNice! ...A three layered cake sounds difficult to keep it upright... How are you going to hold it all together?
