If he lived, he would have been paralyzed.
Is it possible to be live a HAPPY life even though you may have a disability?
Should a disability LIMIT what you can and can't do?
Explain.
P.S. Canada won 28 medals at the PyeongChang PARALYMPIC GAMES!
I think it is possible to live a happy life when you have a disability because I think the only thing that separates someone with a disability to someone without one is the disability. I don't think that people should be separated from others expect if it has to do with like sports or a competition because then if they were together it wouldn't be fair. I don't think having a disability limits what you can and can't do because they can still do everything it just matters on what kind of disability is and what the task is. If they don't have an arm and they have to mix something it will take them longer but if they have to walk they can do that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your perspective. great blog! :)
DeleteYou and Sajin wrote the same thing?? But also i think you’re right Neha.
DeleteOf course you can have a happy life even if you have a disability! I think that if you have a positive perspective and you think about the positive instead of the negative, you can do even more and have a happier life than a normal person. A disability shouldn’t limit what you can achieve. There are many possibilities for what you can do even with a disability. Even though you can’t do exactly everything, you can do many. For example, the paralympic games.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your perspective. great blog! :)
DeleteI think it is possible to live a happy life when you have a disability since, if you have a positive life state, you can do even more and have a happier life than a normal person. I don't think having a disability limits what you can and can't do because you could still do so much sports.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of your points! Great blog:)
DeleteI think disabilities should not hold you back or make you feel less capable of doing things. I think a major thing that people think people with disabilities can’t do is sports. Now, there are some sports that some people would not be able to do depending on which disability or disabilities they have. In Johnny’s case if he was paralyzed he wouldn’t be able to do any sports which would be very sad but it shouldn’t make him feel left out or sad because he has a way of living that’s different than everyone else that is unique so if anything he should be proud.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that disabilities should stop you from doing anything in your lifetime. I think that you can even do sports! You might not be able to do them the same way as everybody else, but you can always do Paralympic sports! I think that it is VERY possible to have a good life, even with a disability and you should never hold back!!!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you Jenna, great blog!
DeletePeople with disabilities should never feel that they are OUTSIDERS because they can't do something that someone else can do. But that doesn't mean that there aren't things you can't participate in. Fun fact: There are actually sports leagues for people with physical disabilities. There is also something called the Paralympics (like Olympics)for people who are paralyzed. I think that's pretty cool because it allows disabled people to participate and feel happy. It's 100 percent possible for someone to be happy and have a good life. Disabilities shouldn't stop people from being the same as others.
ReplyDeleteAhaha i like what you did there! Great blog Terry
DeleteI’m one hundred percent sure that you can live a happy life even though you may have a disability. You can still do many activities, sports and u can still attend events, theatres. It might just be a bit more difficult to do these things. Having a disability should never limit what you can do! Live your life even if u have a disability, be thankful.
ReplyDeleteIsn't "U" Improper Grammar, would it be "You"? Anyways I agree with that positive thinking but there is a downside to it too.

Deletemax it honestly doesn't matter if someone spells u and not you
DeleteI strongly agree thats is a great blog
DeleteI'm Decently Sure (70%) That Even with a disability you can still live a happy life. There is almost No reason at all that you can't live a happy life, except for certain activities, such as Rock Climbing for the paralyzed. Most Things Shouldn't Limit People with disabilities unless it would be harmful. For some people, they think that they have a potential to do more, but in certain areas.

Deleteif you search on google rock climbing for the paralyzed and then go into images you can see many people who manage to still climb up with a wheelchair.
Deletegood blog
I think you can have a happy life even if you have a disability because you at least live and still enjoy moments but just in a wheel chair.A disability does limit what you can or can't do because if you are paralyzed from neck to toe, then you wouldn't be able to play any sports or go to places you would want to go to but can't.
ReplyDeleteI do think it’s possible to live a happy life with if you might have a disability. It shouldn’t limit what you can do because the sky’s the limit, not a disability. A disability only makes you more special, not less. A person with a disability is just as capable of living a happy life then a person without a disability.
ReplyDeleteso then why should a person have a sad life.
Deletenice blog Amina
That is very true!
DeleteGreat blog :)
It is surely possible that you can be happy even though you have a disability. My Moms friend Chris was paralyzed and put in a wheelchair from falling of a tree while cutting it. He was fortunate to have a very positive attitude and go on without being depressed. My family has gone camping with him even though he is in a wheelchair and we even went to see him and his team of basketball players who are all in wheelchairs but still get the activities and fun of basketball. Many people who get paralyzed will get suicidal thoughts because they are not thinking positively and this will drastically change there life. A disability should definitely not be the limit of what you can do since there're are so many alternatives to everything like how in the image of the blog we see people skiing even though they are paralyzed and like I said before you can also do basketball when paralyzed.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh!!!! great blog
DeleteYour mom’s friend Chris sounds like an inspirational person! He was paralyzed and yet he still kept a positive attitude and he did not quit!
DeleteIt is possible for someone to live a happy life because they still can do a whole bunch of things. For me, the one thing that makes me happy is my family and most likely the one who has a disability has a family. If they don't have an immediate family, the can still have a family of friends like in the Outsiders. Being paralyzed will limit some of their hobbies, but it shouldn't limit the things that the can still do.
ReplyDeleteI think it is possible to be happy when paralyzed because they can still do amazing things and do jobs people wouldn't even think they can do like to be a cop. But in Jonny's case he would need somebody like Pony too help him because he got his back paralyzed. He would need to live at Pony's house because his parents don't care about him.
ReplyDeleteI still believe that people can still be able to do things even if they have a disability. At times, it can be difficult, but there is always a way to get through it. I wouldn't necessarily say that there are limits towards having a disability. There are certain things you can't do, but there is usually another alternative to doing that "thing" you can't do. For example, if someone is paralyzed, they can't go sky diving, but they can go air gliding instead - it won't be really high up like as if you were going sky diving.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is definitely possible to live a happy life when u have a disability because you can still have friends and family and spend time with them. I don't think that a disability should limit your capability to do something that u wanted to do because even paralyzed people can still play sports or get around places #the outsiders
ReplyDeleteNO it shouldn't affect any of your dreams no matter what let it be sports or arts or just getting a job ,just because you have a disability . Also your not any different then any other person in this world people get hurt and some are born with it but in the end we are all the same and it should not affect you any differently , so I think that no matter what disability or not you should always be happy because nobody deserves to be sad for something they can't really control.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree
DeleteI dont think that a disability should limit you. Take Stephan Hawing for example, he developed ALS in his twenties and he never let that stop him from becoming a world renown scientist. He even went to space, and inspired so many people. I dont think you should ever give up hope because you have a disability. People with disability are still able to achieve awesome things.
ReplyDeleteI believe a person who has a disability can still live a happy life. Many people with disabilities, including many who are famous, live with and overcome their disabilities every single day of their lives and continue to contribute to society. These include actors, actresses, celebrities, singers, world leaders, and many other famous people. Examples include: Beethoven, one of the biggest composers of all time, was deaf; Stephen Hawking, one of the most admired scientists in physics had ALS and was confined to a wheelchair; Franklin Roosevelt, diagnosed with infantile paralysis, better known as polio, was confined to a wheelchair yet still became the 32nd President of the United States; Stevie Wonder considered to be one of the most successful musical performers, was blind, etc. For a disability not to limit what a person can and cannot do, it is important to maintain a positive attitude, to not quit when things get tough and to have friends and family that are a good support system.
