  1. I think that my first term of high school went pretty well. My best subject was french because went to a french school. The subject that I have to work on is my science by a bit more. But I’m very happy with the marks that I am receiving. My goals for Term 1 were to understand the whole concept of high school, getting to know my teachers (the main thing you’d do in your first term). My main goals in the next few months would be to reinforce myself in my studies.

  2. My term one went great. I had a good transition between elementary school and high school. Most of my teachers are very nice. I set a few goals for myself for the end of term one. First I wanted to get good marks. Second I wanted to join ambassadors. I did succeed in achieving these two goals. Something I need to work on I think is doing my homework as soon as possible. I think im can be a little bit of a procrastinator. My first term two goal is to do better in spanish. I don't test well in spanish and I want to get an app of some sort so I can get ahead in spanish class. Something else I need to work on in term 2 is doing my homework as soon as possible. I think I can be a little bit of a procrastinator.

  3. My first term of high school went great. I got great marks, made a lot of friends and even accomplished some goals. The goals I set were to do well in my first term and be 100% happy with my work. I did well in every subject. The only subject I'm trying to improve on is Science. I still need to work on studying a little bit harder. I will definitely be focusing on studying harder and getting even better marks in term 2.

  5. My first term of high school was great! The transition between elementary and high school was WAY easier than I thought it would be. I like almost all of my teachers. My goals were to get high marks and I did! I still need to work on my history. My term two goals are to get even higher marks then before.

    3. The transition was way
over dramatic from elementary school. It never was a large difference.

  6. I think term one went smooth for me, it was easy. I think I did well in all my subjects, which is good! I didn’t really set any goals for term one, but i will for the next term. I think i did pretty well this term, even if i did fail about 2 tests… I think i need to put more effort into science this term. My goal is to be on the honour role and get 85% and over in all my subjects...especially science.

  7. I feel like Term 1 was good for me. I got some pretty good grades, and I understood most of my classes pretty well. I certainly didn’t understand everything that I learned, but I understood enough not to fail lol. One thing that I could work on is my math. There’s just some things that meant no sense to me, so I guess my goal in Term 2 is to work harder in math class.

  8. My first term of high school was great! In the beginning of the year I thought it would be worse. I had some high expectations for myself and my parents do too. I did well in french because I went to a french school, Art and Science. I really want to work more on spanish I think I can do so much better. My term 2 goals are even higher than my term 1 goals. I completely believe I can do better.

  9. My term 1 goal was to reach the goal I had in elementary which was to focus more on my grades, always put them first. At the beginning things were going slowly but they got better towards the end and if i’m being totally honest i’m actually really proud of most of the marks i’ve managed to receive during term 1. I don’t think I have my best and worst subjects I didn’t really do absolutely amazing nor absolutely terrible in any of them. Something I do need to work on though is doing my homework earlier and not procrastinate. In term 2 all i want to do is be proud of the marks that i receive.

  10. My first term went pretty good and I like most of my teachers. My goal was to get to know the school and meet some new people. I think I’m doing good in most of my subjects. I need to work on subjects like History because I’m not doing good on that. My goals for term 2 is to improve my mark for History and study more for tests.

  11. First term went pretty well! I had pretty good teachers and am doing pretty good in my tests. My goals were to make friends and get good grades. I think I could be doing even better in my tests and exams. I also need to improve in my organization. In term 2 I want to be able to wake up and get ready quicker because 6:00 is too early for me :).
    Thanks for reading!

  12. In Term 1, I was very happy with how it went in terms of grades and making friends!!! I made such great friends and I always like to see them every day at school! My grades were very strong! I think a something that I need to work on getting up at a respectful time because my alarm rings at 6:00am but I get up at 6:30am which means I only have 30 minutes to get ready.(For girls, that’s NOT ENOUGH time to get ready):(
In Term 2, I will set my goal to being a morning person and to study a little harder. I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever a new term starts, I always like to start “fresh”.

    1. I agree...when a new term starts it is like starting a new chapter in a book. You begin new material and get a chance to improve your grades.

  13. IN term 1 I noticed that I need to actually try, Unlike The previous years. But I also had to get used to the time I wake up which was around an HOUR Later! I rarely Create goals usually I try do my own thing without planning. But I also was struggling to not FAIL in Any of my classes. Again No goals for any term.

  14. My goal for Term 1 was to make friends, to have teachers that like me and to do well in my grades. It went well because I did very well in most of my subjects especially french because I come from a French elementary school. I still need to work on English, Spanish and Art because I feel I did badly in those subjects. My main goals are to do better in the final exams for Spanish and English.

  15. I believe term 1, of secondary 1, at St Thomas, went very well. It was an adjustment because after 8 years at the same small elementary school, I was starting off at a new, bigger school, where I had to make new friends. I found there to be more homework than I thought there would be and in order to get good marks it was important to review every night. I feel I still need to become more familiar with IB terminology, as well as all the various programs we use to share and post assignments, ex. managebac, classroom, google docs, weebly, etc. My goal is to make honor roll and to get over 85% in all of my subjects. #StThomasrocks

  16. I think term 1 went well. I had to learn how to adjust and I finnally can get to class without double or triple booking. For term 1, my goals were to make new friends and to try my best to get good marks. I think I still need to work on studying for tests and finishing all my homework. My term 2 goals are to do better in Spanish and to not forget to complete all my homework (time management problems).
